A market with no incumbent

17,000 Catholic parishes plus Anglican, Episcopal, and Lutheran high-church congregations. CMAA and NPM represent 18,000+ practitioners. Zero purpose-built platforms exist.

Compliance as a wedge

Parishes pay musicians via personal checks, cash, and Venmo — no 1099s, no contracts, no audit trail. Cantori brings Stripe-powered payroll and tax compliance to every transaction.

Liturgical depth

No generic freelance platform understands the Ordinary vs. the Propers, Gregorian modes, or denominational fit. Cantori was built by a director who lives these distinctions.

Why now

Sacred music is undergoing a generational renaissance. Young traditional communities are growing fast and demand professional infrastructure that matches their seriousness.

Support the mission

Cantori is built by musicians, for musicians. Your generosity keeps sacred music infrastructure accessible to every parish — large or small. Give any amount, no limits.

Founder & Director of Music

Cantori was born in the choir loft. As a working director of sacred music, I spent years cobbling together spreadsheets, email chains, and Facebook posts to manage what should have been a professional operation. I watched brilliant musicians struggle to find consistent work, and I watched parishes leave positions vacant for months because there was no way to find vetted candidates.

The liturgical music world employs thousands of trained professionals — organists, cantors, choral singers, instrumentalists — yet has no professional infrastructure to connect them with the parishes that need them. CMAA represents over 10,000 practitioners. NPM, 8,000 more. And the entire hiring ecosystem runs on word of mouth.

Cantori is the platform I wish I'd had for the last decade. It's built from within the tradition — by someone who knows the difference between a Gradual and a Tract, who has lived through the Triduum crunch, who understands that liturgical music is not gig work. It is sacred service. And it deserves infrastructure worthy of that calling.
